Grepped Scouts ("we", "us") is run by its two founders from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through greppedscouts.org and our email outreach, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. By using this site you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
When you visit this site. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and records the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, including your IP address. This site has no forms and no accounts.
When you email us. We keep your name, email address, the company you work for and what you write to us.
When we contact you. We email people at companies that may hold data of interest to AI labs. To do that we keep business contact details (name, role, company, work email) that we gather from public sources such as company websites and professional profiles.
2. How we use it
- To reply to you and to follow up on introductions you agree to.
- To decide which companies to contact, and to stop contacting anyone who asks us to.
- To understand how the site is used and keep it working.
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information.
3. Who we share it with
- Grepped AI, Inc., only when you or your company agree to be introduced to them. Grepped then handles your information under its own policies, including its security practices.
- Service providers who run things for us: Google (Workspace email and Analytics), Vercel (hosting) and the tools we use to manage outreach.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or in a sale or transfer of our business.
4. Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
5. Unsubscribing
If you do not want to hear from us again, reply to any of our emails and say so, or write to us through the contact page. We will stop contacting you and keep only a record that you opted out, so we do not contact you again by mistake.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Ask through the contact page. We may need to confirm who you are first. If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or your local regulator.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only while we need it for the purposes above, or longer if the law requires it. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Analytics account.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to the two of us and the providers named above. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us.
9. International transfers
Our providers and Grepped AI, Inc. are based in or store data in other countries, including the United States, so your information may be handled outside Australia.
10. Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we delete it if we find we have.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The new version will be posted here with a new date.
